Doug Nichols

Founding Partner and Principal Consultant

Doug Nichols is a founding Partner and Principal at Construction Change Partners. His responsibilities include system assessment, selection, and implementation management of ERP construction software.

As a 30-year veteran of the construction industry, Doug has an extensive background in construction software. He began his career in public accounting with Arthur Young and Company. He spent 17 years working in construction industry support services as a Chief Financial Officer. During this period, Doug worked for general, mechanical, electrical, and design/build contractors. For the past 13 years, he has worked as a consultant in construction software, specializing in project management and accounting implementation services. His projects include work with software vendors such as Computer Guidance Corporation, Construction Imaging Systems, CMiC, Timberline, and Viewpoint.

Doug is a CPA and has contributed articles to industry periodicals such as CFMA’s Building Profits and The Journal of Construction Accounting and Taxation. He has been a member of the Construction Financial Management Association since 1982. Additionally, Doug served on the organizing committee of the Georgia chapter of CFMA and served as President. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Doug graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a Bachelor’s in Accounting. He lives and works out of Chicago.
